Britannia and Eve first appeared in 1926 as Eve, a self-described “Lady’s Pictorial”, while Britannia was printed throughout 1928. In May 1929, the two newspapers combined to become Britannia and Eve with the new tagline “A Monthly Journal for Men and Women”. Britannia and Eve contained general news articles, as well as sections dedicated to fashion, home and short stories. It was published by the Illustrated London News Group in London. The last issue was in January 1957.
