England After attending Westminster School, Frampton spent seven years working in his fathers studio before moving to France, and later Italy, to study art.

Frampton's work usually incorporates religious themes and shows the influence of his previous work in stained glass and the Pre-Raphaelites. As well as his many church murals, he also exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Paris Salon and International Art exhibitions.

Frampton became a member of the RBA in 1894. His career saw him elected as member of ROI, member of the Tempera Society and Art Workers Guild.
