David Sim was born in Glasgow in 1953. He studied illustration and graphic design at Edinburgh College of Art and went on to do a post-graduate MA at the Royal College of Art in illustration and printmaking, graduating in 1980. After working for a wide variety of magazines, design groups and advertising agencies he returned to Scotland. In 2001 he settled in Crail, Fife, with his wife Susie Lacome, and established a studio where they specialise in hand-made limited edition prints in lino cut and silkscreen.
